Fellow Urbanists!
The Tampa Heights Civic Association, with a little help from CNU-Tampa Bay members, is holding a grassroots tactical urbanism/better block event this Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Heights is a hot neighborhood right now, but North Franklin Street from the Interstate North to Palm Avenue is in need of a little urban intervention.
The Better Block Event is a follow up event to a Summer 2014 Workshop organized by CNU Tampa Bay and Tampa Heights Civic Association. The concept will further explore the possibilities of what North Franklin Street can become.
The event will take place on North Franklin from Kay Street (Café Hey) to roughly 7th Avenue.
CNU Tampa Bay is hosting one of the parklets (let’s play cornhole!). Please come Saturday to enjoy food, local craft beer, music, art, play games (thank you, Urban Conga!) and chat with folks who believe in grassroots planning.
Where: North Franklin from Kay Street (Café Hey) to roughly 7th Avenue
When: January 10th from 10:00a.m to 3:00p.m
We hope to see you there!
